Here are guidelines for responding to the lectures on the blog:

1. 1)  At the top your comment, type the title and date of the lecture along with the name of the
   person who gave it.
   
2. 2)  Summarize the main points of the lecture and point out at least one aspect that was new
   information to you or that you found particularly interesting.
   
3. 3)  If possible, make connections between this course and the content of the lecture. 
   

Response to letterpress reading due 2/19

After checking your email to find the link to the reading (and reading it), please respond by explaining how it helped you to better understand letterpress printing. Also, please say why you think artists and designers have become so interested in it over the last decade. 

Relief reading response, deadline extended until 2/14/13

1) What are some ways to make a relief block or plate that you had not considered before reading this chapter? What sorts of things do you need to consider before you choose a method for creating a relief block or plate?

2) Which relief techniques from the reading are you particularly interested in and why?

3) Find an example of a relief print online and post a link to it. Why did you choose this piece? What do you appreciate most about it?
